Social Justice Horrors & Celebrations

Now that we have better internet access and speed, we hope to post more frequently.

As I write today, across the planet lives are lost and communities destroyed by corporate greed and religious fundamentalism.

In U. S. North America, the last few months have brought both social justice horrors and celebrations.

We see more outrage over the killing of Cecil, the lion, than the deaths of Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Rumain Brisbon, Tamir Rice, Akai Gurley, Dante Parker, John Crawford, Yvette Smith, Shereese Francis, and more and more.

Institutional oppression continues to grow – in local and federal governments, in police agencies, in our schools and communities.

As we celebrate the Supreme Court’s marriage equality decision, let us commit more fiercely to Black Lives Matter and the countless other movements who are working for justice for all.
